Busselton's best secret . . . out of the blue in Busselton
This garden stands out from much local Busselton landscaping for its use of a mix of local plants
(plus a couple of non-locals) to create a sense of 'garden'. It is one
of the best public examples of gardens in Busselton using local plants.
Built on
the side of a busy road, Bussell Highway at Broadwater, it is a good
example of how to landscape underneath existing Peppermint trees. A conifer from an
old garden has been 'pruned up' to create extra space for the
plantings.
Although it is not a garden comprised mainly of grassy plants, it makes good use of Ficinia nodosa (photo above right) and Juncus pallidus (photos below),both local plants.
