About Us

Geographe Community Landcare Nursery
is one of many community nurseries in Australia producing local provenance tubestock for revegetation plantings.

It is a non-profit organisation depending on sales, donations and grants to keep afloat.
[Donations over $2.00 are tax deductable but for that, we'd like you to make the cheque out to BDEC, and then you'll receive a tax receipt. If you'd like to help, please speak to our Secretary or our Nursery Coordinator. ]

Apart from the Coordinator role, all work is done by volunteers.

Geographe Community Landcare Nursery
is managed by a committee under the auspices of the Busselton-Dunsborough Environment Centre.

Our committee also has representatives from

GeoCatchWater Corporation
Vasse Wonnerup LCDC

and receives support from the

Shire of Busselton

Geographe Community Landcare Nursery
grows local provenance indigenous native plants for landcare, revegetation, ecological or environmental restoration and biodiversity projects (coastal, wetland, streamline, river, farm, wildlife habitat and corridors, nutrient control, and degraded sites).

Geographe Community Landcare Nursery
provides opportunities for the community to be involved by helping to grow plants in the nursery, in revegetation projects (including river action plans and management plans), assisting with seed collecting and seed cleaning, and learning about local plants, ecology and wildlife habitats.

Geographe Community Landcare Nursery

produces seedling tubestock, with some species grown by division or from cuttings. Our range includes trees, shrubs, rushes and sedges, and some grasses, climbers, and groundcovers.
