| Horticultural note:
Daviesia - and most peas - seem to require more than a 'sterile' potting mix for successful nursery propagation. Although peas germinate well in a nursery, we have not yet learnt how to grow good healthy tubestock. However, once planted out, as in the photo above, the plants power away after obtaining the secret 'x' factor from the soil. The Papilionaceae/Fabaceae family are often included in direct-seeding projects and do very well. They can also be direct-seeded into the garden or planting site with the appropriate seed treatments before sowing. Some pages on direct seeding techniques. | References: FloraBase MABBERLEY, D.J.
