| Horticultural note:
Calothamnus graniticus ssp. graniticus occurs only in Dunsborough, on the Meelup coast (and one plant found at Bunker Bay) and (curiously) at Big Rock. It is an excellent species in cultivation, and is the Busselton Shire's floral emblem. Another subspecies, Calothamnus ssp. leptophyllus, grows in the Dwellingup-Collie area.
