WELCOME TO OUR OPEN DAY

Geographe Community Landcare Nursery is a non-profit, community-managed nursery which provides many thousands of plants for environmental projects each year.

We grow about 150 different species of our local flora - mainly for revegetation projects.

Come and see how we grow them!

  • see some of our propagation processes
    • we grow plants from seed, from cuttings, and by division.
  • take home a plant to grow
  • learn how you can help us
    • we depend on community involvement to function.
Our volunteers collect seeds under licence, help with propagation activities, prepare potting media, wash pots and trays, help us keep track of what we are doing (germination data, cuttings data, stock taking, ...), help us build and maintain the nursery facilities, ...
  • learn how to make an order
    • most of our customers plant in the wetter months of the year, mid-year.
They order plants in October - November for planting the following year, giving us time to prepare their order.
  • learn about our many partners
    • there are many local organisations which work to help us 'save the planet'.
Some of them will have their info at our Open Day.
